Oval Space and The Pickle Factory usher in Autumn / Winter 2017 with a host of exciting new shows at both venues.
Oval Space Music leads the charge with headline shows from Joey Anderson (13 Oct); Robert Hood (27 Oct); Lorenzo Senni Live (17 Nov) and DJ Nobu (24 Nov).
On Sunday 3rd December, Oval Space will host one of the most revered figures in the history of house music: Mr Fingers, aka Gherkin Jerks, aka the great Larry Heard, who will play an extended live performance. He’s joined by house music aficionado Lakuti, Oval Space and Pickle Factory programmers Hamish Cole and Toby Nicholas, and a Very Special Guest soon to be announced.
Confirmed to play under The Pickle Factory’s wooden beams over the coming months are Hunee (20 Oct) with a rare All Night Long performance; Arpanet Live (13 Oct); Varg Live (28 Oct); resident Fred P (3 Nov); Karen Gwyer Live (8 Dec) and more.
In addition, The Pickle Factory will be partnering with some of London’s most loved underground parties and labels, including: Lobster Theremin (6 Oct); Body Hammer (27 Oct) and Tangent (17 Nov), while on Sunday 8th October, modular synthesis wizards London Modular head to Bethnal Green for the first in their new quarterly Sunday evening series.
As much an experiment as a party, each show will see London Modular invite one of their illustrious friends from the modular techno community, and they will perform together an improvised 6-hour live jam session - no rehearsals, no laptops, no standard MIDI device.
Ovation, Oval Space’s live music series, continues apace with headline shows from Troyboi (12 Oct); Red Axes Live (17 Oct); Chrome Sparks Live (25 Oct); Marie Davidson’s acclaimed electronic band Essaie pas Live (23rd Nov) and more.
On 1st October, Ovation joins once more with revered jazz percussionist Tom Skinner for another Sunday evening of forward-thinking jazz with Tom Herbert and Dave Okumu.
